Role :
The Navigation Integrated Systems Engineer (NAVISYS Engineer) is the go-to interlocutor of vessels, Fleet Superintendents, Partner contract holders (maker, vendors), and transversal departments (Technical Department, Procurement, SSE, Newbuilding, etc.) regarding the maintenance of the Navigation Integrated Systems. As such, the NAVISYS Engineer implements or monitor that the appropriate actions are taken to meet the technical and regulatory needs and work with the partners to ensure operational condition within the budget of the CMA Ships' Fleets.
Responsibilities and Duties :
As per company standards, you shall :
- Comply with IMS and all relevant international rules and regulations;
- Ensure all your duties in accordance with quality, health, safety, environmental and ethics policies;
- Propose a continuous performance improvement plan which will be reported and reviewed on a periodical basis;
- Monitor or organize the plan surveys / health check / maintenance of navigation integrated systems and provide support to vessels and shore teams including risk assessment for new situation or for planned intervention;
- Manage with vessel Superintendents / Vessel managers the repairs within time and budget by sourcing best solutions with key partners;
- Support, Assist and monitor vessel compliance with flag and class requirement related to navigation integrated systems;
- Feedback and challenge repair proposal of partners or vendors to ensure operational availability;
- Contribute actively for the issuance of experience feedback, lessons learned from vessel’s navigation integrated systems to improve reliability;
- Maintain up to date data base of radio and navigation system onboard, discuss with expert team optimal lifecycle of navigation integrated systems;
- Evaluate and assess regularly partners and key vendors with segment purchasers;
- Prepare the annual budget for assigned vessels in consultation with the Expert / Superintendents / Vessel managers;
- Attend vessels in ports when required (to be up to date with equipment’s, service).
Minimum Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in electrical or Electronics and Telecommunications.Experience :
3 years’ experience in support of vessels is preferred.Special Knowledge and Skills :
