This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Data Engineer in India.

This role offers the opportunity to design and implement advanced data solutions within a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a key role in building and optimizing modern data platforms, ensuring performance, scalability, and seamless integration across complex systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust solutions for global enterprises while leveraging cutting-edge cloud technologies. Accountabilities

  • Develop, optimize, and deploy end-to-end data engineering solutions in production environments.
  • Ensure data system performance, security, scalability, and integration across multiple platforms.
  • Write, debug, and optimize SQL queries, as well as contribute to programming in Java, Python, and / or Scala.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to design technical architectures, roadmaps, and proofs of concept.
  • Produce clear technical documentation, including system diagrams, class hierarchies, and logical workflows.
  • Deliver high-quality presentations and communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of professional experience as a Data Engineer, Software Engineer, or Data Analyst.
  • Strong programming skills in Java, Python, and / or Scala.
  • Hands-on expertise with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, AWS, Azure, Databricks, or GCP.
  • Proven SQL proficiency for query development and optimization.
  • Experience with data integration and workflow technologies such as Spark, Kafka, Airflow, Fivetran, or Informatica.
  • Knowledge of distributed data storage systems (S3, ADLS, HDFS, GCS, Cassandra, etc.).
  • Solid understanding of the complete software development lifecycle (design, testing, deployment).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work in client-facing roles and deliver clear technical presentations.
