Role Title : Senior Software Engineer I

Position Summary :

We are seeking an exceptional full stack engineering talent to be part of the digital web engineering team of Marriott’s next-generation hospitality brands experience portal. The successful candidate will design, build, and deliver scalable enterprise applications using a state-of-the-art React-based micro-frontend architecture. You will collaborate with product owners, UX designers, engineers, and QA teams to create innovative components and workflows, leveraging GenAI tools to enhance productivity and user experience.

In this role, you will contribute to both front-end and back-end development, ensuring the platform performs optimally across all modern browsers and devices. You will also participate in the design and implementation of modular, maintainable, and high-performance microservices that power our platform. The ideal candidate is product-focused, passionate about solving complex problems, and committed to driving Marriott value through cutting-edge technology solutions.

Job Responsibilities :

• Develop and maintain Typescript libraries and platform tools for our React / Next.JS applications.
• Understanding of the cloud-native solution, microservices-architecture, and at least one or more of the following areas : API orchestration architecture, mobile-front end architecture
• Support the adoption of AI-first practices by learning and using GenAI-based tools (such as ChatGPT, Claude, or similar) to assist with technical tasks like component development, QA automation, and workflow improvements.
• Contribute to the integration of GenAI solutions by experimenting with available tools to help automate repetitive tasks, improve code quality, and boost team productivity under the guidance of senior developers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to explore and implement GenAI use cases in software development, testing, and deployment, while continuously learning from peers and mentors.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement user-friendly features for all form factors.
• Optimize applications and services for maximum speed, scalability, and reliability.
• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI / UX designs and propose alternative solutions when needed.
• Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and consistency.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues across the stack as they arise.
• Stay up to date with the latest front-end and microservice technologies and best practices.
• Communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and clients.
