About the Opportunity

We are seeking a passionate and motivated Software Development Intern (SDE I) to join our engineering team. This internship offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in backend development, DevOps practices, and real-world machine learning integrations. You'll work on production-grade systems, collaborate with experienced developers, and strengthen your technical foundation while contributing to live projects.

Key Responsibilities

Backend Development

Assist in designing and building scalable APIs and backend services.
Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code using Python (Django / Flask) and JavaScript (Node.js).
Participate in code reviews to improve performance and reliability.
Work with relational and NoSQL databases, including schema optimization.

DevOps & Infrastructure

Help maintain and enhance CI / CD pipelines and deployment workflows.

Gain hands-on experience with Docker and cloud platforms (AWS / GCP / DigitalOcean).

Monitor application health, performance metrics, and contribute to system reliability.

Machine Learning Integrations

Support the integration of ML models and APIs (e.g., OpenCV, OpenAI, or other LLMs).

Assist in model deployment, testing, and optimization in production environments.

Collaborate with ML engineers to understand real-world AI workflows.

Requirements

Strong foundational knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software design.

Proficiency in Python.

Familiarity with Docker, Git, and RESTful APIs.

Interest in cloud platforms, CI / CD, and DevOps tools.

Eagerness to learn about machine learning applications and integrations.

Excellent problem-solving and team collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Personal or academic projects involving OpenCV, ML APIs, or backend systems.

Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or DigitalOcean).

Exposure to frontend technologies like React or Vue.js is a plus.

Eligibility

Students graduating in 2026 or later.

Available to start the remote internship immediately.

Able to commit 42 hours per week for the 6-month duration.

Possess relevant skills, interest, and a learning mindset.
