Job Summary :

The Senior Engineer QA (Sheet Metal) will be responsible for ensuring the quality and conformance of all sheet metal components and assemblies. This includes monitoring processes inspecting incoming and outgoing parts identifying root causes of quality issues and implementing corrective actions. The role requires strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes GD&T welding inspection and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities :

Inspect and validate sheet metal parts & assemblies as per drawings specifications and quality standards.

Monitor and control in-process inspection activities on the shop floor.

Develop inspection plans check sheets and quality procedures specific to sheet metal parts.

Handle customer complaints (CAPA 8D reports RCA) related to sheet metal quality issues.

Conduct supplier quality audits and incoming inspection for sheet metal components.

Lead PPAP APQP and FMEA activities for new product development involving sheet metal.

Ensure adherence to ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 quality systems.

Use quality tools like 7QC tools Pareto Fishbone 5-Why analysis for problem-solving.

Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Design Production SCM) for quality improvement.

Train junior QA staff and production operators on quality standards and inspection techniques.
