Job description

Job Title : S&OP Planner (or Supply Chain Planner)

Department : Supply Chain Functional

Area : Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP)

Reporting : S&OP Lead

Location : Mumbai (On-Site)

Employment : Full Time

Role Summary :

The S&OP Planner is responsible for quality and timely execution of the Sales & Operations Planning process, ensuring demand planning, supply planning, and inventory optimization. This role involves cross-functional collaboration to balance demand and supply. This role requires agile, analytical, and dynamic professionals who bring fresh perspectives, handling complex data, and drive cross-functional coordination.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Responsible for executing the S&OP process, ensuring alignment of demand, supply, and inventory to meet business objectives
  • Develop and maintain demand plans using historical data analysis, market trends, and Collaboration with Sales and Marketing
  • Align Supply plans, optimize production schedules, and coordinate with procurement and manufacturing teams
  • Validate the Raw material Procurement Plans
  • Monitor inventory levels, ensure DOH compliance with norms, and drive actions for slow-moving or excess stock
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Operations to ensure alignment of new product introductions and demand-supply reconciliation
  • Coordinate with Production teams / schedulers for detailed production schedules and monitor adherence to plans, through S&OP regular reviews / meetings
  • Adjust schedules for exceptional events and report deviations

Required Skills & Knowledge

  • Experience in monthly S&OP cycle execution.
  • Forecasting & demand planning fundamentals.
  • Must have : Supply and production planning (MRP, RCCP, MPS).
  • Inventory optimization and parameter setting.
  • Must have : Data analytics proficiency (SAP, Advanced Excel, Power Query, Power BI, PowerPoint).
  • Hands-on experience with APS tools (IBP, O9, Kinaxis, Blue Yonder).
  • Education

  • Bachelor's / master's degree in supply chain management / engineering
  • Experience

  • 4-5+ years of experience in S&OP environment including demand planning, supply planning / production planning and supply chain analytics
  • Chemical Industry experience preferred
  • Skills Required

    Sap, inventory optimization , Power Bi, Powerpoint, Advanced Excel, Power Query, MRP, Kinaxis, Mps, ibp
