Strong SQL skills with a focus on query tuning , index optimization , and performance troubleshooting . Experience with replication , backups , and disaster recovery strategies. Exposure to automation tools such as Terraform , CloudFormation , or Ansible is a plus. AWS Certified Database – Specialty (or other relevant AWS certifications).

About the Role
We are seeking a talented Database Administrator (DBA) with strong expertise in Amazon Aurora (PostgreSQL) to support, optimize, and scale our cloud database infrastructure. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring high availability, performance, and security of our AWS-hosted databases while collaborating closely with engineering and DevOps teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer, configure, and maintain Aurora PostgreSQL clusters on AWS.
- Handle backup, restore, replication , and failover configurations for production systems.
- Optimize SQL queries, indexing strategies, and database performance.
- Monitor and troubleshoot database health using Amazon CloudWatch , Performance Insights , and other tools.
- Implement and enforce database security, compliance , and cost optimization best practices.
- Partner with DevOps and application teams to support scalable deployments and efficient data workflows.
