Job description

Fincent is a new age finance firm whose mission is to bring financial and accounting services into the modern era. We like to think of ourselves as all of the good parts of a startup, without the downsides. We're a tight-knit team of smart, friendly people solving problems together with a shared passion for design, technology and creativity. Fincent stands at the intersection of neo-banking and SaaS and aims to be a complete financial hub for SMBs. We offer an AI-powered finance team with a real-time dashboard to manage all the finance functions for your business on one platform – banking, bookkeeping, yearly taxes, bill pay & invoicing, financial projections & budgeting, reimbursements and more.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and proactive HR Manager to join our growing team. This is a strategic and hands-on role that combines talent acquisition, HR operations, and culture building in a global startup environment. The ideal candidate will have experience hiring across India and the U.S., a deep understanding of startup dynamics, and a passion for shaping people-first culture in a remote-first setup.

Key Responsibilities

  • Talent Acquisition & Recruitment
  • Lead end-to-end recruitment for roles across India and the U.S., spanning tech, product, design, marketing, sales, and operations.
  • Develop and execute creative sourcing strategies to attract high-caliber candidates.
  • Partner with founders and department heads to understand hiring needs and build scalable hiring processes.
  • Manage job postings, screening, interviews, offers, and onboarding.
  • Build and maintain a strong employer brand presence on social media and professional platforms.
  • HR Operations & Compliance
  • Manage day-to-day HR operations — from onboarding to exit.
  • Oversee payroll coordination, contracts, benefits, and compliance (India and U.S. entities).
  • Maintain HR documentation and ensure adherence to all relevant labor laws.
  • Set up HR systems, tools, and processes that support remote collaboration and productivity.
  • Culture & Engagement
  • Work closely with founders to define, articulate, and nurture Fincent's organizational culture in a remote-first environment.
  • Create and implement employee engagement, recognition, and development programs.
  • Foster a transparent, inclusive, and high-performance workplace culture.
  • Conduct regular check-ins, pulse surveys, and engagement initiatives to ensure a connected remote workforce.
  • Strategy & Growth
  • Partner with leadership on workforce planning and organizational design.
  • Contribute to building scalable HR frameworks for future expansion.
  • Drive diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives across teams and geographies.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in HR and recruitment, with proven experience hiring in India and the U.S.
  • Prior experience in fast-paced startups or early-stage companies is a must.
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end recruitment processes, HR operations, and compliance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust across teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote-first, global environment.
  • Familiarity with HR tools and ATS systems.
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach and a people-first mindset.
  • Why Join Fincent

  • Work with passionate founders building a product with real impact.
