Job Summary :
The Windows Engineer is responsible for deploying, maintaining, and troubleshooting Windows-based systems and infrastructure. This role plays a key part in ensuring system availability, performance, and security across enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities :
- Install, configure, and maintain Windows servers and services
- Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policies, and file / print services
- Monitor server health, apply patches, and ensure system performance
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network-related issues
- Automate administrative tasks using PowerShell scripting
- Maintain backup and disaster recovery procedures
- Ensure systems meet security and compliance standards
- Document system configurations, changes, and procedures
- Collaborate with other IT teams to support infrastructure projects
- Provide technical support for escalated system issues
Required Skills and Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field2+ years of experience as a Windows system administrator or engineerStrong knowledge of Windows Server operating systems and core componentsExperience with Active Directory, Group Policies, DNS, DHCPProficiency in PowerShell scripting and automationFamiliarity with virtualization technologies like VMware or Hyper-VGood communication, problem-solving, and analytical skillsPreferred Qualifications :
Microsoft Certified : Windows Server Administrator or Azure AdministratorExperience with cloud services (Azure, AWS)Exposure to ITIL practices and ticketing tools like ServiceNowKnowledge of security tools, backup software, and monitoring systemsSkills Required
