Data Architect(Banking Domain)- Hybrid

The Opportunity

The Senior Data Architect will drive the development of scalable, reusable, and governed data solutions. They will collaborate with onshore teams and data platform / engineering teams to align with the enterprise data strategy. The role focuses on developing patterns, reference architectures, and solution blueprints while mentoring junior team members.

Major Responsibilities :

Design and develop data architecture patterns, reference architectures, and reusable frameworks

Collaborate with onshore leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with the enterprise data strategy

Drive architectural initiatives for data platform modernization, data governance and data product enablement

Provide thought leadership on advanced analytics, AI / ML and federated data governance

Develop documentation of architecture solutions (ASDs) and ensure compliance with organizational standards

Foster a culture of continuous improvement

Represent the offshore team in strategic planning and review meetings

Qualifications :

15+ years of experience in data architecture, data modeling and enterprise-level data solutions

8+ years of Finance / Banking experience

Proficiency in modern data architectures, such as data lakes, lakehouses, and cloud native / agnostic platforms

Expertise in data services / tools native to AWS, Azure, Snowflake, Databricks, Starburst or similar technologies

Strong knowledge of metadata management, data governance, and data quality frameworks

Functional Skills :

Ability to design end-to-end data pipelines and integrations

Strong leadership and mentoring skills

Deep understanding of domain-driven data product design

Excellent collaboration skills to work across onshore / offshore and technical / non-technical teams

Excellent presentation and written communication skills

Understanding of banking products, financial statements, performance measurement, risk management, data controls and data governance
