Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru for the position of General Manager – Operations (Furniture) . The candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations, leading cross-functional teams, ensuring service excellence, and driving production efficiency. The role requires close coordination with design, production, procurement, and quality teams to ensure seamless business operations, high productivity, and consistent delivery of high-quality customised furniture solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily production and operations for the furniture division
  • Ensure high productivity and optimum utilisation of manpower and resources
  • Monitor output and track production performance on a daily basis
  • Establish efficient furniture product layouts and workflow processes
  • Lead end-to-end procurement activities, including RFQs and vendor negotiations
  • Develop and manage vendor partnerships for customised furniture requirements
  • Oversee inventory management to maintain ideal stock levels without overrun
  • Drive quality, cost, and delivery improvements across all operational touchpoints

Qualifications

  • Strong experience in General Management and Operations Management
  • Proven track record in handling customised furniture operations or manufacturing
  • Expertise in vendor development, procurement, and RFQ processes
  • Knowledge of inventory planning and control systems
  • Excellent leadership, team management, and organisational skills
  • Strong budgeting and financial planning abilities
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or related field
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
