Job Title : CAD Engineer

Location : Remote

Job type : Part-time

Job Summary :

We are seeking an experienced CAD Engineer Trainer to deliver training programs in 2D / 3D modeling, CAD software applications, technical drawings, GD&T, BOM preparation, and design documentation . The trainer will design and deliver industry-focused training modules covering medical devices, automotive, aerospace, electrical, and multi-industry applications . The role involves guiding learners through practical exercises, real-world case studies, and compliance with global design and engineering standards.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop and deliver training modules on CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, and related tools) .
  • Provide hands-on training in 2D and 3D modeling, part / assembly design, and drafting techniques .
  • Teach technical drawing standards, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and engineering documentation .
  • Guide learners in Bill of Materials (BOM) preparation, revision control, and design documentation practices .
  • Demonstrate industry-specific CAD applications in medical devices, automotive, aerospace, and electrical engineering .
  • Train on design validation, manufacturability considerations, and compliance with engineering standards.
  • Support learners with real-world case studies, problem-solving exercises, and project-based training .
  • Evaluate learner performance, provide feedback, and suggest improvement plans.
  • Stay updated with the latest CAD software versions, industry practices, and design regulations .

Required Skills & Expertise :

  • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA (and other major CAD platforms) .
  • Expertise in 2D drafting and 3D modeling techniques .
  • Knowledge of GD&T principles, ISO / ASME drawing standards, and tolerancing practices .
  • Experience in BOM preparation, revision control, and design documentation .
  • Understanding of product design lifecycle, manufacturability, and compliance requirements .
  • Industry exposure in medical devices, automotive, aerospace, electrical, or related fields .
  • Excellent training, mentoring, and communication skills.

    • Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or related Engineering field.
  • Minimum 10+ years of CAD engineering experience in relevant industries.
  • Prior training / mentoring experience is highly preferred.
  • Certification in CAD tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA) is an advantage.
