JD for DevOPs Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Design and manage infrastructure using Terraform, ensuring modularity, version control, and multi-environment consistency (Dev, UAT, Prod).

Architect and maintain secure, highly available network topologies using AWS VPC / GCP VPC, subnets, route tables, NAT gateways, and load balancers.

Implement and maintain CI / CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Cloud Build, or AWS CodePipeline for both applications and infrastructure.

Deploy, scale, and manage applications using Kubernetes (EKS / GKE) and Helm, ensuring reliability, observability, and zero-downtime deployments.

Configure and optimize monitoring using Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, or Cloud Monitoring, and define alerting for proactive issue detection.

Implement least privilege access using IAM roles and service accounts, manage secrets securely (AWS Secrets Manager / GCP Secret Manager), and ensure SSL / TLS automation.

Automate operational tasks (patching, provisioning, certificate rotation) using Python, Bash, or Ansible.

Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and drive continuous reliability improvements.

Required Skills

5+ years of hands-on DevOps or SRE experience.

Strong expertise with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code principles.

Hands-on experience with AWS or GCP core services (EC2 / Compute Engine, S3 / Cloud Storage, RDS / Cloud SQL, IAM, VPC, Load Balancers).

Proficient with Kubernetes (EKS / GKE) and Helm for application deployments.

Strong knowledge of CI / CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Cloud Build, or CodePipeline).

Solid understanding of networking, security groups / firewalls, and load balancing.

Experience with monitoring and logging stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, CloudWatch, Cloud Logging).

Good scripting skills in Bash or Python for automation.
