Business Development Manager - Chemicals & Polymers - Delhi (MMA & Related Products)

The Delhi office has recently established a dedicated Chemicals division focused on Methyl Methacrylate (MMA) and allied monomer products, catering to the needs of major automotive and specialty- chemicals manufacturers in the region.

Position : Business Development Manager, Chemicals-Delhi (MMA & Related Products)

Role Overview :

  • The Business Development Manager will play a pivotal role in driving domestic sales growth for MMA and related chemical products in India. This position requires an individual who can proactively identify and secure new accounts, while also nurturing and expanding relationships with existing clients. A proven track record in the chemical industry-especially in MMA or acrylic monomers-is highly desirable. Selling product to tier 1 automotive companies(few listed below).

  • Primary Responsibilities :

  • New- Account Acquisition : Develop and execute targeted sales strategies to acquire new clients across the automotive, coatings, adhesives, and specialty chemicals sectors.
  • Client Onboarding & Relationship Management : Lead end-to-end client onboarding, negotiate commercial terms, and manage post-sales service to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Market Intelligence & Reporting : Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and raw-material pricing dynamics. Provide regular sales forecasts, pipeline updates, and actionable insights to local and regional leadership.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work with procurement, logistics, technical service, and global trading teams to ensure seamless order execution and technical support.
  • Revenue & Margin Targets : Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and profitability targets through disciplined pipeline management and pricing negotiations.
  • Current Client Portfolio : Minda Industry, Lumax, PM Industries, SL Corporation, KOITE, India Japan Lighting (IJL), etc.
  • Selection & Offer Process :

  • Round 1 : Panel interview with senior India leadership to assess technical knowledge, industry experience, and cultural fit.
  • Round 2 : Final discussion with global leadership to evaluate strategic thinking and long-term vision alignment.
  • Offer Release : Formal offer issued upon successful completion of Round 2, followed by salary and benefits negotiations.
  • Probation : Three-month probation period with performance goals and integration milestones.
  • Ideal Candidate Profile :

  • Experience : 10-15 years in B2B sales and business development within the chemical industry; strong exposure to MMA monomers or acrylic products preferred.
  • Mindset : Sharp commercial acumen with a hunter-driven approach to securing new business and scaling sales operations independently.
  • Client Engagement : Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills, comfortable engaging with C-suite and technical decision-makers at OEMs and tier-1 suppliers.
  • Ownership & Collaboration : Ability to own end-to-end sales cycles, collaborate cross-functionally, and deliver measurable revenue impact with minimal supervision.
  • Adaptability : Willingness to travel regularly and engage with global teams and technical experts to tailor solutions for evolving customer needs.
