Job Description – Head of Department (Psychology)

Position : Head of Department (Psychology)

Qualification : Ph.D. in Psychology (Clinical / Organizational / Applied Psychology or allied areas)

Experience : Minimum 8+ years of teaching and research experience with proven academic and administrative leadership.

Key Responsibilities :

• Provide academic and strategic leadership to the Psychology Department.
• Plan and implement curriculum as per University / Regulatory norms.
• Mentor and develop faculty; guide PG / PhD research and publications.
• Oversee teaching, assessments, timetable, and student performance.
• Lead accreditation, compliance, and departmental documentation.
• Support student mentoring, counselling, and overall development.
• Manage departmental resources, budgeting, and infrastructure.
• Represent the department in inspections, academic council, and institutional committees.
