Assistant Manager - Mechanical Maintenance (Slider Assembly)

Role Summary : This role is responsible for managing the efficient functioning of the slider assembly process and ensuring the mechanical maintenance of related machines at client’s Bawal Plant. The position supports smooth production of precision slider components—critical to zipper systems—while ensuring high machine uptime, consistent product quality, and adherence to safety and process standards.Key Responsibilities : - Supervise daily operations of slider assembly lines , ensuring adherence to its product and quality standards.- Plan and execute preventive and breakdown maintenance of slider assembly machines and equipment.- Troubleshoot technical issues related to mechanical systems (presses, jigs, feeders, grinders, conveyors).- Coordinate with production planning and quality teams to meet output targets and reduce defects.- Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen, TPM, 5S) for productivity and cost efficiency.- Monitor machine performance metrics (Uptime, MTTR, MTBF) and maintain critical spares inventory.- Ensure compliance with safety protocols , environmental guidelines, and internal YFS standards.- Lead and develop a team of technicians and operators for multi-skill and performance improvement.- Support implementation of new slider types and process changes in coordination with R&D.Critical to Quality (CTQ) Parameters : - Slider Assembly Output vs Plan – Meet or exceed daily / weekly targets.- Machine Uptime – Maintain ≥ 95% uptime on critical equipment.- Defect Rate (Slider Assembly) – Maintain ≤ 0.5% defects.- Breakdown Response Time (MTTR) – Resolve within defined timelines.- Safety Compliance – Zero major incidents; adherence to all safety SOPs.- Spare Part Availability – 95%+ availability of critical components.- Cost Control – Maintain or reduce cost per unit of maintenance.Qualifications & Experience : - B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or related field.- 10 years of experience in mechanical maintenance and assembly line management, preferably in precision manufacturing or automotive components.- Hands-on knowledge of mechanical systems, preventive maintenance, and quality systems.Compensation - 12 Lacs per annum maxOnly those who can go for a face to face meeting - must apply.
