Research Associate / Senior Research Associate (Bioinformatics / Cancer Genomics)
The Molecular Oncology Group, Discipline of Women's Health
The Molecular Oncology Group conducts world-leading translational research to improve the survival of patients diagnosed with ovarian cancer, through genetic risk prediction and tumour profiling. Large scale genetic and genomics datasets as well as long-term clinical follow up data are available through the groups leading role in two large international consortia.
Why this role matters
In this position, you will work with internationally recognised research leader Professor Susan Ramus in the Molecular Oncology group in the Discipline of Women's Health. The position will identify prognostic markers and develop tumour tests to personalise treatment for ovarian cancer patients, by analysing DNA copy number data from large scale shallow whole genome sequencing.
