DESCRIPTION :
Amazon Now (Quick Commerce team) is looking for a data-driven Forecasting Manager who can own our daily and store-level order and unit forecasts. This role is critical to aligning supply, marketing, and operations with real-time demand. You'll build models that predict order volumes using traffic, conversion, and cohort-level behavior, ensuring we plan inventory and resources optimally every single day.
You'll directly influence how the business runs day to day, balancing demand, supply, and customer experience. This role offers a unique mix of analytical depth, business impact, and visibility across functions.
What we're looking for :
1. 2-4 years of experience in forecasting, demand planning, or data analytics (e-commerce or retail preferred).
2. Strong analytical and quantitative skills; comfort with time-series modeling and cohort analysis.
3. Proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets; working knowledge of SQL, Python, R a plus.
4. Understanding of key e-commerce funnel metrics like visitors, conversion rate, AOV, units per order, retention.
5. Attention to detail with an ability to connect data insights to business implications.
6. Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
Key job responsibilities
1. Build and maintain daily and store-level forecasts for orders and units.
2. Develop and refine forecasting models using inputs such as visitors, conversion rates, and units per order segmented by user cohorts.
3. Identify trends, seasonality, and external drivers (e.g., campaigns, holidays, weather, events) affecting demand.
4. Collaborate with category, marketing, and operations teams to translate forecasts into actionable plans.
5. Continuously monitor forecast accuracy, analyze deviations, and implement improvements.
6. Automate and scale forecasting workflows using dashboards, scripts, or tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python, Power BI, etc.).
7. Present insights to leadership and cross-functional teams in a clear, structured manner.
