Technical Finance Lead (FinOps, B2B SAAS)

About the Role

We are a fast-growing B2B SaaS company looking for a high-impact Technical Finance Lead. We don't just need a bookkeeper; we need a Finance Engineer to build and maintain our financial infrastructure.

You will sit at the intersection of Finance, Data, and Operations. Your job is to manage our Danish accounting compliance while architecting the automated data flows between our CRM (HubSpot), our AI-native accounting platform (Light.inc), and our BI layer (Metabase / Postgres).

What You Will Build & Manage

1. Financial Engineering & Data Systems (The Tech)

Own the Finance Stack :  Manage the integration between Light.inc and HubSpot, ensuring seamless data synchronisation.

BI & Reporting :  Write SQL queries to extract financial data from our Postgres / NoSQL databases and visualise it in Metabase for executive dashboards.

Automation :  Replace manual Excel work with automated workflows. You will proactively debug API sync issues and drive automation initiatives to reduce manual reconciliation.

Vendor Management :  Act as the technical liaison with Light.inc support. You must have the persistence to chase down bugs, ticket resolutions, and force system improvements.

2. Financial Reporting & Forecasting (The Finance)

Danish Compliance :  Manage bookkeeping and financial reporting in compliance with Danish accounting standards and VAT regulations.

SaaS Metrics :  Track and report on key B2B SaaS metrics (ARR, MRR, Churn, LTV) using our data stack.

Cash Flow Management :  Build rolling 13-week cash flow forecasts and provide scenario-based projections to the CEO.

Reconciliation :  Validate data accuracy across platforms, identifying trends and anomalies in the financial data.

Who We Are Looking For

The Must-Haves (Technical) :

SQL Proficiency :  You can write complex queries to join tables and extract insights from Postgres or NoSQL databases.

API / Integration Knowledge :  You understand how systems talk to each other (REST APIs, Webhooks) and can troubleshoot when a sync fails.

BI Experience :  Proven experience building dashboards in Metabase, Power BI, or Tableau.

Excel / Sheets Mastery :  You are capable of advanced financial modeling when code isn't the answer.

The Must-Haves (Functional) :

SaaS DNA :  You have worked in a B2B SaaS startup and understand the subscription business model.

Accounting Fundamentals :  You have a solid grasp of accounting principles (experience with EU / Danish standards is a massive plus, but we value the ability to learn quickly)

Grit :  You don't take "no" for an answer from software vendors. You find workarounds for system limitations.
