We’re looking for a Sr. Java Developer to maintain and enhance our Java-based applications. This role focuses primarily on maintenance projects and production support .
⚡ This role requires flexibility to provide weekend (from-home) support when urgent client queries or production issues arise.
Responsibilities
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance Java JSP / Servlet applications , ensuring stability, security, and performance.
- Implement bug fixes, upgrades, and performance optimizations.
- Collaborate with internal teams to analyze requirements and deliver solutions on time.
- Act as a primary contact for clients, handling queries, gathering requirements, and providing updates.
- Lead and mentor junior developers, perform code reviews, and enforce coding best practices.
- Drive the full software development lifecycle for maintenance projects, from requirement analysis to deployment.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of development methodologies, tools, and processes.
Required Skills & Experience
4–6 years of hands-on experience in Core Java , JSP , and Servlets , with strong knowledge of Java concepts, data structures, and algorithms.Proficiency in Spring (Spring Core, Spring Boot) , Hibernate , and build tools like Maven (mandatory).Strong experience with relational databases (MS SQL Server, DB2, or MySQL).Familiarity with front-end technologies such as JavaScript, CSS, and HTML .Good understanding of RESTful APIs and web services.Experience with version control systems such as Git .Proven ability to debug and resolve complex technical issues in large, production systems.Prior experience in client communication for requirement gathering and status updates.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Flexibility to provide weekend / on-call support as needed.Note : Please include any relevant projects, code samples, or a link to your Git profile.
