We at LTI Mindtree hiring for Technical Writer

Education : Bachelors / Master's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent

Minimum Experience : 8-12 years

Notice Period : Immediate Joiners to 30 days

Location : Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad, Chennai, Bangalore, Noida, Kolkata

Mandatory Technical Skills(Pls provide the details) :

Confluence administration and space / page management
GitLab repository management and documentation scaffolding
Markdown, OpenAPI / Swagger, YAML
CI / CD pipeline setup for documentation
Architecture Decision Records (ADR) authoring
Incident response / runbook creation
Compliance documentation and audit trail management
Linking strategies and traceability between tools
Permissions and CODEOWNERS configuration
Documentation style guide adherence

Documentation Tools & Platforms

Confluence : Structuring business / process documentation, workflows, governance, compliance, decision logs, release notes, and market rollout specifics.

GitLab : Managing version-controlled technical documentation, including architecture, APIs, schemas, ADRs (Architecture Decision Records), runbooks, IaC notes, CI / CD pipelines, code-style and contribution guides.

Technical Writing & Documentation

Creating and maintaining Markdown documentation in GitLab ( / docs folder per repo).

Writing and maintaining ADRs for architectural decisions.

Preparing OpenAPI / Swagger documentation and database diagrams.

Drafting runbooks, incident response guides, and operational notes.

Automation & CI / CD

Setting up CI jobs to validate Markdown, lint ADR titles, and publish docs (GitLab Pages or artifacts).

Auto-generating OpenAPI docs from code / comments.

Governance & Compliance

Implementing ownership and stewardship for documentation (using Confluence page properties and GitLab CODEOWNERS).

Establishing review cadences (quarterly, monthly, per release).

Ensuring compliance-ready documentation with audit trails and traceability.

Linking & Traceability

Creating bidirectional links between Confluence and GitLab documentation.

Using stable permalinks (commit SHA) for audit purposes.

Maintaining decision logs and linking business requirements to technical implementation.

Templates & Style Guides

Using and customizing templates for decision summaries, release notes, ADRs, and runbooks.

Adhering to style guides : plain language, clear headings, concise sections, and example-first documentation.

Permissions & Access Management

Managing Confluence space permissions by audience (Program, Tech, Compliance, Markets).

Managing GitLab protected branches and CODEOWNERS for documentation changes.

Facilitating external reviewer access (Confluence view, GitLab Pages for API docs).

Success Metrics & Quality Assurance

Measuring coverage, freshness, discoverability, and auditability of documentation.

Using checklists for quick start and ongoing quality control
