About Turing :
Based in San Francisco, California, Turing is the world’s leading research accelerator for frontier AI labs and a trusted partner for global enterprises deploying advanced AI systems. Turing supports customers in two ways : first, by accelerating frontier research with high-quality data, advanced training pipelines, plus top AI researchers who specialize in coding, reasoning, STEM, multilinguality, multimodality, and agents; and second, by applying that expertise to help enterprises transform AI from proof of concept into proprietary intelligence with systems that perform reliably, deliver measurable impact, and drive lasting results on the P&L
Role Overview :
We are seeking analytical and process-driven professionals with extensive hands-on experience in Logistics, Warehouse Management, Supply Chain, or Order Fulfillment Operations. This specialized role supports the development and benchmarking of Large Language Models (LLMs) by designing and validating workflows that directly impact inventory accuracy, fulfillment speed, carrier performance, and supply chain visibility. The specialist will be crucial in recreating complex logistics scenarios to validate AI outputs and ensure they maintain operational efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and real-time accuracy.
What does day-to-day look like :
- Accurately map and recreate complex logistics operational workflows, covering inbound receiving, inventory slotting / picking, packing, shipping, carrier management, returns processing (reverse logistics), and cross-docking procedures.
- Rigorously validate AI-generated outputs in operational scenarios, such as automated inventory allocation, route optimization suggestions, carrier service level predictions, and exception handling messages, ensuring data integrity within the WMS / TMS and accuracy of fulfillment steps.
- Simulate critical supply chain and fulfillment challenges, including :
- Warehouse Simulation : Testing AI support for labor planning, optimized picking paths, and real-time inventory adjustments during peak operations.
- SLA Tracking & Compliance : Validating AI reporting on order cycle time, dock-to-stock metrics, and carrier on-time performance (OTP) against service agreements.
- Security Audits : Performing structured reviews to ensure AI actions maintain inventory control and loss prevention standards throughout the chain.
- Provide detailed, structured annotations and high-quality datasets derived from inventory transactions, shipping manifests, and operational logs to continuously improve LLM training and evaluation for better forecasting and logistics automation.
Requirements :
Logistics & Fulfillment Operations Expertise : Proven experience (3+ years) in a hands-on role within Warehouse Operations, Distribution Center Management, Supply Chain Planning, or Last-Mile Logistics (e.g., managing inventory, shipping processes, or third-party logistics / 3PL relationships).WMS / TMS & Workflow Tool Proficiency : High familiarity with industry-standard logistics and fulfillment systems, including WMS (Warehouse Management Systems), TMS (Transportation Management Systems), ERP inventory modules, or general workflow tools like ServiceNow or Jira used to manage operations and exceptions.Efficiency & Data Integrity Detail Orientation : Exceptional attention to detail with a strong understanding of how process deviations or inventory discrepancies impact fulfillment speed and cost. Ability to identify AI shortcomings that lead to mis-shipments or system data pollution.Data Utilization for Supply Chain Predictability : Conceptual understanding of how operational logistics data (e.g., cycle count results, shipping times, capacity plans) is used for training and evaluating Machine Learning models (LLMs) to improve prediction and throughput.Communication & Procedural Excellence : Excellent written English required for creating precise, training-quality Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and meticulously validating the clarity and accuracy of AI-generated communications for both internal teams and external carrier partners.Perks of Freelancing With Turing :
Work in a fully remote environment.Opportunity to work on cutting-edge AI projects with leading LLM companies.Potential for contract extension based on performance and project needs.Offer Details :
