Backup Engineer

1. Documentation Management

• Maintain daily backup reports error history logbook and updates in the Emsigner application.
• Create and maintain detailed documentation of backup systems processes and configurations.
• Maintain backup and restore documentation as per SOP.
• Record and document backup and restore failures as per SOP.
• Manage backup operations off-site Tape Media and inventory / asset management.
• Replace tapes in the tape library and maintain accurate asset inventory records.
• Perform data verification from disk and tape as per SOP.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary information for documentation.
• Ensure all documentation is maintained without tampering and is legible.
• Complete the required trainings as per SOP.

Monitor backup operations to ensure data integrity availability and recoverability. Collaborate with backup teams to resolve issues or failures promptly. Conduct regular backups and validate success to meet data retention requirements.
