Role Overview :

We are seeking a highly experienced and self-driven Senior Architect to lead the design and development of scalable, high-performance solutions within the EXA Data Services (S3DS / NSDS) product line.

The candidate should have a strong background in Java , Spring Framework , and distributed systems architecture , with proven experience in building large-scale storage or data service products end-to-end.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Define and own the architecture, design, and technical roadmap for S3DataService component.
  • Lead the product lifecycle from requirements and design to development, testing, and release.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and reviews for the engineering team.
  • Drive improvements in performance, scalability, and reliability of distributed data systems.
  • Collaborate with QA, DevOps, and Support (L3) teams to ensure stability and quality.
  • Evaluate and implement customer-driven features in collaboration with Product Management.
  • Ensure adherence to best practices, coding standards, and architectural principles .

Required Skills and Experience :

  • Strong expertise in Java , Spring Framework (Core, Boot, Data) , and server-side programming .
  • Hands-on experience with Maven , REST APIs , and microservices architecture .
  • Solid understanding of system design , architecture patterns , and distributed systems .
  • Deep knowledge of data storage , Big Data systems , Cassandra , Hadoop, and Elasticsearch .
  • Experience with S3 object storage protocol and related storage technologies.
  • Strong foundation in Linux , networking , and infrastructure-level debugging .
  • Proven ability to lead design and implementation for large-scale enterprise systems .
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-sufficient, proactive, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Experience with Python , containerization (Podman / Docker / Kubernetes) , and CI / CD workflows.
  • Prior experience with distributed file systems or high-availability storage solutions .
  • Understanding of security , data consistency , and fault-tolerant architectures .
