Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled U.S. Tax Accountant to join our finance team in Vijayawada. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in preparing and reviewing U.S. individual and business tax returns, handling IRS compliance, and supporting clients with tax planning. Attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and familiarity with U.S. tax laws are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review U.S. Individual (1040), Corporate (1120), Partnership (1065), and State tax returns .
- Prepare supporting tax schedules, workpapers, and reconciliations.
- Handle U.S. payroll taxes, sales tax filings, and quarterly estimated taxes where applicable.
- Work with tax software such as Lacerte, Drake, UltraTax, or ProSeries .
- Ensure compliance with IRS and State tax regulations .
- Assist with tax planning and advisory services for U.S.-based clients.
- Manage communication with clients to gather financial data and resolve queries.
- Support CPA teams in audits, notices, and IRS correspondence.
- Maintain proper documentation, confidentiality, and adherence to company standards.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce .1–5 years of experience in U.S. taxation (depending on seniority level).Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and IRS regulations.Experience with U.S. tax preparation software (Lacerte / ProSeries / Drake / UltraTax etc.).Proficiency in Excel and accounting tools .Good communication skills (spoken & written English).Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with U.S. CPA firms / BPO / KPO.EA (Enrolled Agent) certification or willingness to pursue it.Experience with cloud-based accounting software like QuickBooks, Xero , or NetSuite .
