Part time (0.8FTE), fixed term for 12 months
Base salary starting at $103,185 (pro rata) + 17% superannuation
About the opportunity
The Reproduction and Perinatal Centre (RPC) is a research impact centre of the Faculty of Medicine and Health, University of Sydney. The RPC is focused on a broad scope of research focused on improving pregnancy and neonatal outcomes in reproduction, obstetrics and maternal fetal medicine.
The RPC based at The Westmead Clinical School is seeking a Research Officer who contributes to research projects and optimises grant management processes. They drive the adoption of innovative research methodologies, and oversee the comprehensive management of data. They also nurture partnerships, manage research documentation, and ensure impactful dissemination of research outcomes. We are seeking a research officer with expertise in qualitative based methodologies and research translation with an interest in the field of perinatal mental health.
Your key responsibilities will be to :
optimise research projects, ensuring methodologies are refined and research goals are met including driving recruitment
assist with qualitative data collection with focus groups and interview as well as data organisation and analysis
provide advice on research direction, updating the team on the latest research methodologies and statistical programming methods
coordinate data management processes, ensuring thorough analysis and reporting that drives research insights
strengthen partnerships with key stakeholders, enhancing research collaborations and joint initiatives
facilitate timely report submission, uphold data integrity according to university systems, and partner with managers to advance compliance initiatives
undertake other duties appropriate within the classification level as required.
About you
bachelor's / masters degree or an equivalent combination of relevant training and experience
excellent administrative, problem solving and mixed methods data analytic skills
experience in people management, including managing staff performance and development
experience in coordinating and / or managing grant application process
strong problem-solving skills and the ability to use initiative and exercise sound judgement and ability to prioritize workload during busy periods.
experience in qualitative based research methodologies and data analysis software like NVivo.
