Job Description :
We are seeking an experienced Platform Engineering Architect to design, implement, and manage scalable and resilient cloud-native systems on AWS. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in cloud infrastructure, automation, observability, and systems administration across both Windows and Linux environments.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead and mentor a team of platform engineers focused on AWS infrastructure, DevEx tooling, and automation.
- Define and execute platform strategy aligned with product and engineering goals.
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of scalable, secure, and cost-efficient infrastructure on AWS.
- Champion developer experience by driving improvements in internal tooling, onboarding workflows, and CI / CD pipelines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align platform capabilities with business needs.
- Establish and monitor KPIs for platform performance, reliability, and team productivity.
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to guide platform evolution.
- Consolidate and abstract APIs and microservices to make it available for developers to access and reuse with new product development.
Required Skills & Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.6+ years of experience in platform engineering, DevOps, or cloud infrastructure roles, with 2+ years in a leadership capacity.Deep expertise in AWS services (EC2, ECS / EKS, S3, RDS, IAM, CloudWatch, etc.).Strong background in infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform, Pulumi or CloudFormation.Experience with Docker and Kubernetes in production environments.Solid understanding of security compliance frameworks and best practices.Track record of improving DevEx through automation, documentation, and tooling.Experience in developing and implementing any IDP tool (e.g. : Backstage, Spotify, cortex, compass etc. or a custom developed internal developer platform).Deploy and optimize AI assistance for developers.Applications scaffolding, blueprints to standardize, technology and practices across the organization.Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) - requiredHandson experience with developer portals, internal CLI tools, or platform SDKs.AWS certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer).Experience with service mesh (Istio, Linkerd) and API gateways.AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional - preferredHashiCorp Certified : Terraform Associate - preferredMicrosoft Certified : DevOps Engineer Expert - preferredAbout Aurigo :
