Job Description
We are looking for a result-oriented and technically proficient Sales Engineer to promote and sell a wide range of industrial and heavy equipment solutions including induction furnaces , industrial machinery , and allied engineering systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for understanding client requirements, offering technically viable solutions, and ensuring end-to-end sales execution in capital goods and process industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify business opportunities by connecting with key decision-makers in foundries, steel plants, forging units, and heavy industries to assess their equipment needs.
- Promote products such as induction furnaces , power supplies , melting and heating systems , refractory linings , and process automation equipment .
- Prepare and deliver customized technical presentations and commercial proposals aligned with customer requirements and project goals.
- Analyze customer technical specifications, project drawings, and process details to offer optimized solutions that maximize productivity and cost-effectiveness.
- Coordinate with internal engineering and production teams for solution design, pricing, and order execution.
- Conduct regular follow-ups with prospects and existing clients to drive lead conversions and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Participate in technical discussions, negotiation meetings, and proposal clarifications to support deal closures.
- Maintain an updated customer database, visit logs, and sales pipeline using CRM tools or internal reporting formats.
- Keep abreast of industry trends, competitor offerings, and market dynamics to contribute to strategic sales planning.
- Attend trade shows, exhibitions, and customer workshops to promote the company’s technical capabilities and strengthen brand presence.
- Provide pre-sales and post-sales support, including product demonstrations and technical training.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Education : B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical, Electrical and Electronics and MBA-Marketing.Experience : 2–6 years in industrial or capital equipment sales, preferably with exposure to heavy machinery, metallurgical equipment and capital equipment.Technical Expertise : Good understanding of induction furnace technology , power electronics , foundry equipment , refractory materials , and automation systems .Sales Capability : Strong B2B communication, negotiation, and project coordination skills.Mobility : Willingness to travel across regions for client meetings, site visits, and project discussions.Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as neededKey Skills
