Job descriptionSignificant experience developing systems and products using Java / TypeScript / JavaScript. Solid understanding of web technologies. Experience in building platforms. Understanding of cloud-based technologies and development processes. Familiarity with SDLC and agile methodologies. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. A passion for delivering quality software. A pragmatic approach and a desire to learn new things. Good troubleshooting skills. Good LLD and HLD skills. Knowledge of web data gathering and its challenges. Experience in building services in the cloud, especially with Google Cloud Platform or AWS. Experience in containerisation using Docker and Kubernetes. Experience in building infrastructure as code, especially with Terraform. Data analysis and SQL skills.
Responsibilities
- Apply your strong engineering skills to the development of a flexible and highly scalable data gathering platform.
- Produce high-quality code (with tests) in alignment with the Team's coding standards and design practices.
- Break down tasks and Time estimation.
- Own your changes from development to production and beyond.
- Participate in code reviews.
- Mentor and support junior members of the squad; assist with code reviews and other knowledge-sharing activities.
- Play an active role in the growth and development of the Gather Platform; explore and champion new techniques, technologies, and tools.
- You have opportunities to solve high-scale issues.
- You have the opportunity to learn and grow by working with our experienced engineers.
