Job Summary

A dynamic, talented Java application developer who is ready for a challenge where teamwork, technical ability, and problem-solving skills are essential. Supports Development and Change initiatives.

Strong experience in developing and implementing high performance scalable JEE applications

Perform coding in line with existing architecture boundaries, use best practices and coding standards

Development experience with React JS / Ember JS / JPA / Hibernate / JBoss EAP is a must

Very strong SQL experience of writing complex queries

Solid knowledge of OOP software concepts, design patterns, and best practices

Responsible for meeting development schedules and ensuring the delivered solution meets the technical specifications and design requirements

Support production rollouts and change implementations followed by successful UVT

Strong problem solving and analytical skills

Self motivated, independent, detail oriented and a responsible team player

Ability to communicate effectively - both verbal and written communications

Business

Application Development and Support :

Understand user requirements and break it into high level & low level design

Perform coding in line with existing architecture boundaries, use best practices and coding standards

Handle user requests for creation of new data and set up

Responsible for meeting development schedules and ensuring the delivered solution meets the technical specifications and design requirements

Co-ordinate with the teams to resolve issues (thru clarification, data fixes and program fixes following required process) in development & test environments

Support production rollouts and change implementations followed by successful UVT

Provide accurate and detailed weekly task reports

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Good understanding and able to apply development standards and code security standards laid down and / or standards as defined by project and SCB.

Ability to work in a highly compliant landscape and work within the boundaries of globally defined software quality management practices and policies

Understand that traceability and reporting are extremely important in highly compliant environments and be prepared to engrain these practices in team's ways of working

Adhering to the continuous integration and deployment processes as part of the development life cycle

People & Talent

Software Development :

Develops new software solutions or major enhancements to existing software

Troubleshoots production problems related to application

Produce high quality technical documentation

Undertake development tasks without supervision, including software designing, programming and testing within a Test-Driven Development process

Monitor progress and provide updates to the Technical Lead / Project Manager promptly and accurately

Understand and apply a formal quality approach towards design, development and testing phases

Able to contribute to multiple projects, whilst still ensuring process compliance and deliverables are adhered to the guidelines and expectations

Able to work independently as well as a team in providing out-of-the box solution if required

To collaborate / troubleshoot with the development and delivery team for technical issues that requires result analysis and feedback.
