Responsible for administrating, consulting and / or negotiating product / service contracts with external customers. Develops pre-sales contract strategies and works closely with marketing, sales, business management, and technical / engineering teams to structure proposals / contracts / bid documents. Negotiates’ s contracts that are consistent with business objectives and engages in contract amendments and renegotiation to accommodate scope changes. Ensures fulfilment of contractual obligations from contracting parties. Does not require the incumbent to have legal qualification
How You’ll Make an Impact
- The Bid Manager (BM) leads, develops and optimizes all proposal-related activities and is the interface to operations.
- The BM steers the technical negotiations with the customer.
- Bid Manager leads all technical aspects of an opportunity.
- Makes (initial) compressor selection & defines train configuration
- Leads Risk & Opportunity Assessment where required
- Responsibility for Scope of supply, Responsibility for commenting on project requisition (RFQ)
- Writes technical inquiry specification for buyout items ( driver, gear box)
- Drive supply chain management (vendor quote)
- Evaluates & communicates with selected vendors (in coordination with the Project Procurement Manager
