JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsibilities
Mainframe Development & Support
- Develop, enhance, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, VSAM, TSO / ISPF.
- Work with DB2 tables, Stored Procedures, SPUFI, QMF, and IBM scripting.
- Perform read / update operations using JCL and manage batch processing efficiently.
- Utilize data manipulation tools such as INSYNC for files and DB2 tables, and IBM load utilities for data synchronization.
- Use ADE Workbench and SCLM for code management, version control, and deployment activities.
- Handle production releases, including pre- and post-production support.
- Provide production support, troubleshoot issues, and ensure compliance with SLAs.
Exstream Dialogue / Document Composition
Use Exstream Dialogue tool for document creation and customization.Work with workflow functionalities, variables, rules, style sheets, tables, and document flow.Perform driver file mapping and manage variable mapping for document generation.Create AFP / PDF outputs and work with advanced tables and document composition logic.Analysis, Design & Testing
Analyze functional requirements and translate them into technical specifications.Create physical and logical design documents.Develop complex test plans to verify new or modified logic.Utilize Boolean and conditional logic for rules and functions development.Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve concerns related to Dialogue development.Perform root cause analysis, defect investigation, and resolution.Collaboration & Communication
Collaborate with business partners to review requirements and provide technical insights.Coordinate with team members, support personnel, and user communities.Assist in technical builds and provide implementation support.Train and guide employees at various levels on system functionalities.Production Operations & Process Tools
Work with ServiceNow for incidents, work requests, release tickets, and change management.Apply knowledge of Agile methodology for development and support activities.Maintain documentation and ensure timely issue escalation.
