Job Purpose
The District Projects Coordinator will be responsible for planning, coordination, implementation, and monitoring of laboratory-related projects at the district level in Chhattisgarh. The role ensures timely execution of projects, compliance with technical and quality standards, and effective coordination with district authorities, vendors, and project teams.
Key Responsibilities
Project Coordination & Implementation
- Coordinate and oversee laboratory projects across assigned districts in Chhattisgarh
- Support implementation of laboratory infrastructure, equipment installation, and commissioning
- Ensure projects are executed as per approved scope, timelines, and budgets
- Conduct regular site visits to laboratories and project locations
Stakeholder Management
- Liaise with District Health Officials, Medical Officers, Lab In-charges, and government stakeholders
- Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and service providers
- Act as the district-level point of contact for all project-related activities
Monitoring & Reporting
- Track project progress and maintain district-wise project data
- Prepare and submit weekly/monthly progress reports to the state team
- Identify risks, delays, or issues and propose corrective actions
- Ensure proper documentation, records, and compliance reports are maintained
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to laboratory standards, safety norms, and regulatory guidelines.
- Support audits, inspections, and quality assessments
- Monitor equipment performance, maintenance schedules, and vendor compliance
Administrative & Support Functions
- Assist in district-level planning, budgeting, and logistics
- Support training coordination for lab staff, where required
- Facilitate approvals, permissions, and coordination with district administration
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Life Sciences, Medical Laboratory Technology, Engineering, Public Health, or a related field
- Master's Degree (preferred): Public Health, Hospital Management, Project Management, or related discipline
Experience
- 3–5 years of experience in project coordination or implementation
- Prior experience in laboratory projects, healthcare programs, diagnostics, or public health projects is highly desirable
- Experience working with government or district-level projects will be an advantage
Skills & Competencies
- Strong project coordination and organizational skills
- Good understanding of laboratory operations and healthcare systems
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to work independently in field-based roles
- Willingness to travel extensively within districts of Chhattisgarh
Language Requirements
- Hindi – Mandatory
- English – Working proficiency
- Knowledge of local language/dialect is an added advantage
