Role Overview : The Senior Product Engineer role demands deep technical expertise and strong leadership to oversee complex engineering assignments and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a smooth and successful product lifecycle..

What you’ll do :

Product development and delivery :  Lead the entire product development lifecycle, including design, prototyping, testing, debugging, and deployment of features and components.

Technical leadership and mentorship :  Provide technical guidance, set and enforce engineering best practices, and mentor junior engineers to foster a culture of quality and innovation.

Product strategy and innovation :  Collaborate with product managers and other stakeholders to define the product roadmap, prioritize features, and stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies.

Continuous improvement :  Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system performance, reliability, and scalability. This includes conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions for production issues.

Cross-functional collaboration :  Act as a key liaison between engineering, product, design, marketing, and sales teams to ensure effective communication and alignment on product goals.

Quality assurance and compliance :  Ensure products meet industry standards and regulatory requirements by managing testing efforts, conducting design reviews, and supporting audits.

Documentation :  Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including product specifications, design documents, test results, and training materials.

You’ll have the following skills and experience :

Education :  Bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant engineering discipline, such as computer science, mechanical engineering, or electrical engineering.

Experience :  A minimum of 5–7 years of experience in product development or a related engineering field, with a proven track record of bringing products to market.

Technical skills :  Proficiency in key technologies and tools relevant to the product. For hardware, it might include CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD).

Methodologies :  Experience with Agile or other relevant development methodologies.

Project management :  Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects, allocate resources effectively, and meet deadlines.

Leadership :  Proven ability to lead and motivate technical teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.

Problem-solving :  Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills to tackle complex technical and production issues.

Communication :  Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to articulate technical concepts and influence stakeholders at all levels.

Business acumen :  A strong understanding of market dynamics, customer needs, and the overall business strategy to ensure product success.

Adaptability :  Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
