Job Title : Tech Co-Founder (Hardware & Wearables)
Company : Still Life
Commitment : Co-founding role with meaningful equity
About Still Life
Still Life is building next-generation wearable technology that blends precision biosensing with beautifully minimal hardware. The mission is to create ultra-compact devices that capture deep physiological signals and translate them into meaningful human insights. We're looking for a hardware-focused co-founder who can architect, build, and ship our first-generation products.
Role Overview
You will lead the end-to-end hardware engineering function—from selecting sensors to designing PCBs to working with manufacturing partners. This is a hands-on, high-ownership role. You will shape the product architecture, guide rapid iterations, and help take the product from MVP to mass-manufacturable hardware.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead hardware architecture for ultra-small wearables (rings, bands, tiny modules).
- Integrate biomedical sensors such as PPG, IMU, temperature, and BLE modules.
- Design PCBs optimized for tiny form factors, low power consumption, and reliability.
- Build prototypes, evaluate signal quality, and improve noise performance for PPG / HRV / sleep data.
- Work closely with ODM / OEM partners; review their technical specifications and manufacturing documentation.
- Own the product pipeline from MVP → prototype → EVT / DVT / PVT → production.
- Collaborate with firmware, data, and design teams to refine product functionality.
- Drive fast iterations, quick experiments, and decision-making in an early-stage product environment.
Nice-to-Have Experience
Worked on or built products similar to Oura, Ultrahuman, Whoop, Garmin, or other biometric wearables.Prior startup or shipped product experience.Bluetooth stack optimization experience (BLE 5.0+).Experience benchmarking sensor accuracy against gold-standard devices (e.g., Polar H10).Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Embedded Systems, Biomedical Engineering, or related fields.3–5+ years of hands-on experience building hardware products (wearables preferred).Strong fundamentals in sensor integration, signal processing basics and low-power design.Comfortable using PCB design tools (Altium, KiCad or similar).Ability to analyze physiological signals and evaluate data quality.Experience collaborating with contract manufacturers or hardware development vendors.Strong builder mindset : rapid prototyping, curiosity, resilience and technical leadership. What You Get
Co-founder title + meaningful equity.Ownership of core product and technology decisions.Opportunity to build a category-defining wearable from zero to launch.Creative freedom, fast experimentation culture, and deep collaboration.Email your CV at : [HIDDEN TEXT]
