INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGNER (Hybrid Mode - Work from Bangalore Office)

The Instructional Designer plays a pivotal role in designing and delivering high-quality technical training programs that support the learning needs of internal teams and external customers. The Instructional Designer will develop and manage training content—including e-learning modules, guides, and assessments—while collaborating with subject matter experts and cross-functional teams. Their work ensures training is delivered on time, aligns with business goals, and meets the growing demand for scalable, engaging learning experiences.

Duties / Responsibilities

Project execution – Apply instructional design principles and project management skills to create impactful training modules that align with organizational goals and learner needs.

Team management - Mentor junior instructional designers and delegate tasks based on individual strengths and project requirements to ensure efficient content development.

Learning Engagement – Serve as the primary point of contact for training design-related queries. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand product features, training objectives, and learner needs, ensuring the delivery of relevant and engaging learning experiences.

Training Design –

  • Create storyboards and detailed content outlines.
  • Structure, revise, and script content to ensure clarity, engagement, and alignment with learning objectives.
  • Communicate effectively through visual, oral, and written formats; deliver engaging presentations as needed.
  • Design and build a variety of learning materials, including trainer guides, training schedules, e-learning modules, instructional and API training documents, refresher trainings, and virtual instructor-led training (VILT) content.
  • Independently manage coordination with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to gather accurate and relevant content.
  • Create assessments and quizzes to evaluate learner comprehension and measure training effectiveness.
  • Maintain organized project documentation and course repositories for easy access and version control.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery and quality outcomes.

Required Skills / Abilities

  • Proven experience in instructional design, training need analysis and adult learning theories
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
  • Proficient with Camtasia, Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Working knowledge of Learning Management Systems (LMS), including content upload, user management, reporting, and course configuration
  • Familiarity with SCORM, xAPI, and other e-learning standards
  • Education And Experience

    Undergraduate or Postgraduate or Engineering in Computer Science.

    2-3 Years Of Related Experience Required.

    Instructional design credentials or certification is a plus.

    This position is based at Bangalore and would be required to be working from Bangalore office in Hybrid mode (twice a week).
