MEP- ( Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing_ MANAGER

MEP (mechanical, electrical, and plumbing) project manager is responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of all MEP systems in construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required standards. Key duties include overseeing design and installation, managing subcontractors, coordinating with other teams, monitoring progress and quality, and handling project administration and client communication.

Core responsibilities

Planning and design : Oversee the planning, design, and integration of MEP systems into the overall project design, ensuring compliance with codes and standards.

Budget and schedule management : Develop and manage project budgets, track costs, and create and maintain project schedules for all MEP-related activities.

Team and subcontractor management : Manage and lead MEP subcontractors, coordinate with contractors, consultants, and internal staff, and facilitate communication between all stakeholders.

Installation and execution : Supervise the installation of MEP systems, monitor site activities, and ensure work is completed on time, on budget, and to specifications.

Quality and compliance : Conduct quality inspections to verify installations meet the highest industry standards and comply with all relevant regulations and codes.

Project administration : Review contracts, submittals, and shop drawings, and manage project documentation, including approvals and payments.

Problem-solving : Coordinate and resolve engineering and site issues to ensure timely and efficient project delivery.

Key skills and qualifications

Education : A bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, or a related engineering field is often required.

Experience : Several years of project management experience, often with a focus on MEP systems in commercial or large-scale projects, is necessary.

Technical skills : Proficiency with project management software (e.g., Primavera P6) and design software (e.g., AutoCAD) is often required.
