Role Overview

We are seeking a Fashion Designer to join Frills by Madhuri Reddy , a luxury bridal and couture label. The designer will work closely with the founder to conceptualize, design, and execute collections — with bridal couture as the core and pret wear as an extension for multi-designer stores.

Key Responsibilities 1. Design & Creative Direction

  • Conceptualize and design bridal couture collections in line with the brand’s identity.
  • Develop pret wear collections for multi-designer stores while maintaining the label’s slow fashion ethos .
  • Contribute to the development of new product lines (beyond custom blouses), expanding into couture and pret collections .
  • Research global and Indian fashion trends , textiles, and techniques.
  • Create mood boards, sketches, and digital illustrations for new collections.

2. Sampling & Production Oversight

  • Translate sketches into patterns, prototypes, and final garments .
  • Oversee sampling, embroidery, and finishing processes .
  • Ensure timely completion of pieces while upholding luxury craftsmanship standards .

    • 3. Collaboration with Founder

  • Work in sync with the founder for creative alignment .
  • Provide design inputs for brand campaigns, shoots, and storytelling.

    • 4. Vendor & Artisan Coordination

  • Coordinate with fabric suppliers, embroidery units, and artisans .
  • Ensure design quality and technical precision meet brand standards.
  • Build and maintain strong vendor relationships for smooth execution.

    • 5. Efficiency & Cost Awareness

  • Support cost-efficient production without compromising quality.
  • Ensure resources are used optimally to avoid underutilization of team or materials .

    • Tools & Platforms You’ll Use

  • Digital Design & Illustration : Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Procreate
  • Project Management : Trello, Asana, or Notion (for workflow tracking)

    • Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Graduate from NIFT or equivalent design institute.
  • 2–4 years of experience in couture, bridal, or pret fashion design.
  • Strong illustration, sketching, and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of Indian textiles, embroidery, and finishing techniques .
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a small but fast-growing team .
