Head of Design

Hiring for a Global Investment Firm which is also a Canadian MNC .

We are seeking a highly experienced Architect with a minimum of 15+ years in the industry, specializing in large-scale Commercial Office Campuses , Mixed-Use Developments (including Hotels, Serviced Apartments, Social Clubs), and Premium Urban Infrastructure . The ideal candidate should have a passion for design excellence and deep expertise in Design Management , with strong cross-disciplinary coordination skills and a focus on innovation, sustainability, and tenant experience.

Key Responsibilities :

Lead design coordination and management across all disciplines including :

Architecture

Interiors (common areas, amenities, restaurants, cafés, banquet halls, gym, crèche, suites / rooms, etc.)

Landscape Design

Lighting Design

Signage Systems

Art Integration

Sustainability Initiatives

Regulatory & Statutory Compliance (including DCR applications, MoEF, HRC, local bodies)

Manage multi-disciplinary design teams , consultants, and stakeholders to deliver best-in-class spaces aligned with project vision and user expectations.

Oversee BIM processes to ensure accuracy in documentation, coordination, and clash resolution.

Provide design direction and ensure seamless coordination across Architecture, Interiors, MEP, Landscape, Lighting, QS / Costing, and Scheduling.

Review, track and manage project documentation , design development , and execution support across assigned projects.

Regularly report , update , and present design progress and strategic inputs to internal stakeholders and senior leadership.

Keep abreast of emerging trends in design, art, and sustainability to enhance tenant / user experience and incorporate innovation into every project.

Key Skills & Requirements :

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from a reputed institution.

Minimum 15 years of professional experience in architecture and design management roles, especially on Commercial Offices, Hospitality Projects, and Mixed-Use Developments .

Strong command over design integration across Architecture, Interior, MEP, and Landscape .

Proficient in BIM tools and platforms.

Deep understanding of local regulations , approval processes , and statutory norms .

Experience with sustainability certifications (LEED, IGBC, GRIHA, etc.) preferred.

Strong eye for design, detailing, and aesthetics , with an ability to think strategically and practically.

Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.

Qualifications

15+ years. Prior experience of handling commercial / IT / ITeS SEZ / Mixed-use Commercial Office, Hotel, Premium Club / Office fitouts, Amenities design
