Position Summary :
Role involves managing the financial, income tax legal and secretarial functions of the company. Position requires skills for capital allocation, risk management and corporate governance areas for a NBFC. The incumbent should be able to work in a collaborative manner to achieve growth, yet placing the requisite checks, balances and risk mitigation measures intact. We are looking for extra ordinary talent with maturity to take a long term view, at the same time have expertise in financial analytics, audit, accounting, tax planning, attention to details and inborn trait for cost control. Must have potential to become a CFO. The position will be reporting to the MD and Chairperson. The Finance controller will be part of the investment committee, which concludes investment decisions as presented by a team of analysts. He / She will work to plan and forecast the overall financial vision for the company to ensure productive financial operations.
Compensation :
Salary will be commensurate with skills and experience.
Key Responsibilities :
- Assess and evaluate financial performance of the organization with regard to long-term operational goals, budgets and forecasts
- Creating systems to ensure timely and accurate completion of all the accounts, treasury management, Tech driven MIS, audit, secretarial, direct & indirect taxation, and regulatory compliance work.
- Reinforce internal controls to ensure that all operations are monitored against budget, compliance with organization’s policies and regulatory guidelines.
- Creating strong internal checks to minimize the errors of commission or omission
- Create alpha by efficient tax planning and better Treasury Management in co-ordination with the company's investment team
- Handling Statutory Audit and Tax Audit, and manage RBI and CIC Compliances
- Take lead on interacting with various stakeholders, including IT Department and representing the company in legal, secretarial, compliance and tax matters with the help of the company's consultants and lawyers
- Provides oversight, training, and coaching to department associates
- Ensures that process documentation is maintained
- Manage and develop the team as a leader
Candidate Profile :
Minimum 10 years of overall experience with at least 3 years of related experience with a Family Office, private investor or mid-size corporate with sizeable treasury operations preferableCA / MBA in Finance and an additional degree in law or company secretary will be preferableMust have an understanding in fixed income and equity investments (e.g., stock and bond portfolio management) with deep knowledge and experience of direct taxes, compliance issues & risk management challenges)High level of integrity, confidentiality, and strong work ethic.Excellent analytical, reasoning and problem-solving skillsGood written and oral communication skills and the ability to provide & defend an opinionShould have tech driven MIS skills and basic AI SkillsOnly candidates aged 35 years and above are encouraged to apply.Requirements

Requirements
Backend execution of various financing and investment deals / proposals.Proactively solving problems that arise when dealing with any party including auditors, fund houses, brokers, advocates, architects, Society office etc. Role involves liaising and coordinating with Government Authorities such as BMC, BEST, Police dept., etc. on various matters of complaints, inquiries, disputes, legal cases, etc.Ensure all legal and regulatory documents are filed with various financial & non-financial bodies and monitor compliance with laws and regulations. Taking charge of correspondence with respective parties including regulatory authorities.Make and maintain MIS to improve operation processes and best practices that guarantee organizational well-being in Information Technology, AMCs, Filing System, Insurance policies of the entire organization, etc.Negotiating, drafting and finalizing contractual terms.Preliminary research on Real estate / Start-Ups / new financial investments.Manage banking relations, coordinating with relationship managers for account-related activities, KYC updates, nominee changes, and other banking services. Handle backend paper work of financial and investment deals.Manage software systems like Microsoft, Tally, M Profit, and Ace equity.Maintain electro-mechanical equipment and their planned preventive maintenance (PPM). This includes Air Conditions, UPS systems, DG sets, lighting, power shutdown systems, fire alarm systems, CCTV, access control, and EPBAX.Resolve IT- computer system related issues with assistance from our outsourced IT partner.
