Job Title : Safety Officer

About the Role :

We are looking for a Safety Officer to oversee workplace health and safety procedures at our Vadgaon, Pune site. The role involves ensuring compliance with safety regulations, conducting regular audits, and promoting a culture of safety among all employees.

Key Responsibilities :

1.Implement and monitor health and safety policies in compliance with company and statutory regulations.

2.Conduct routine safety inspections, site audits, and risk assessments.

3.Identify hazards and unsafe practices, and recommend preventive or corrective measures.

4.Plan and conduct safety training sessions and toolbox talks for all employees.

5.Maintain and update records of incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and ensure timely investigation and closure.

6.Ensure proper use and availability of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all work locations.

7.Coordinate with government authorities, management, and contractors for safety compliance.

8.Display and maintain safety signage, evacuation routes, and emergency procedures.

9.Organize fire drills and emergency preparedness exercises regularly.

10.Promote and drive a culture of safety awareness and accountability across all teams.

Requirements :

1.Education : Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Industrial Safety / Fire & Safety or equivalent.

2.Certifications : Valid Safety Officer certification preferred (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, or recognized Safety Diploma).

3.Experience : Minimum 2–5 years of experience as a Safety Officer in manufacturing, construction, or industrial environments.

4.Strong understanding of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) laws, regulations, and best practices.

5.Proven ability to conduct safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations.

6.Good communication, reporting, and interpersonal skills.

7.Ability to train and guide staff on safe work procedures.

8.Knowledge of emergency response procedures and first aid practices.

9.Proficiency in maintaining documentation and safety compliance records.

10.Ability to work independently and handle emergencies calmly and effectively.
