– Application Designer (SAP ABAP Development for HANA)

Location : Bengaluru

As an

Application Designer , you will be responsible for defining requirements, designing, and enhancing applications to support critical business processes. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand user needs, translate them into functional and technical specifications, and design solutions that deliver both efficiency and superior user experience. This role demands strong expertise in

SAP ABAP Development for HANA , application design principles, and the ability to drive innovation through collaboration and technical leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Act as a

Subject Matter Expert (SME)

in SAP ABAP Development for HANA.

Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, and cross-functional teams to design scalable application solutions.

Provide technical leadership, guiding the team in decision-making and best practices.

Troubleshoot and resolve application design and development issues, ensuring high system performance and reliability.

Review existing applications, identify areas of improvement, and implement enhancements.

Facilitate knowledge-sharing sessions and mentor team members to strengthen technical capabilities.

Monitor project deliverables and ensure alignment with business objectives and timelines.

Contribute to solution design discussions and play a key role in architectural decisions.

Professional & Technical Skills

Must-Have Skills : Strong expertise in

SAP ABAP Development for HANA , including CDS Views, AMDPs, OData services, and performance tuning.

In-depth understanding of

application design principles, object-oriented ABAP, and modular programming .

Hands-on experience with

SAP HANA database functionalities

and optimization techniques.

Familiarity with

Agile / Scrum development methodologies

and DevOps practices.

Strong problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills with the ability to provide end-to-end solutions.

Good-to-Have Skills :

Exposure to SAP Fiori / UI5 development and integration with ABAP.

Knowledge of SAP S / 4HANA migration and implementation projects.

Experience in collaborating with global teams and managing distributed development environments.
