Position Overview : The
Satoru foundation's Field Internship
is a unique opportunity for passionate and socially engaged individuals to immerse themselves in understanding how aging unfolds in India’s urban spaces (with a focus on the Hyderabad metropolitan region and nearby areas). Through this
Research
Field Internship , Interns will work closely with senior adults to explore their lived experiences, daily routines, and social interactions in fast-changing cities.
The program combines
fieldwork ,
community engagement , and
applied research , encouraging Interns to observe, listen, and document the ways in which senior citizens navigate their everyday lives from informal conversations and family interactions to participation in public and community spaces. The insights generated through this work will help shape inclusive aging policies, programs, and public understanding.

4 - 6 months (Full-time and Part-time available)
Compensation :
monthly Stipend, based on experience and qualifications
Certification :
Upon successful completion of the
Internship , you will receive a
Field Internship
certificate & a recommendation letter, and additional monetary incentives.
Who Can Apply :
We welcome applications from those who have completed graduation across disciplines, including :
Social Sciences and Humanities
Natural and Behavioural Sciences
Medical and Health Sciences
Allied and Interdisciplinary fields related to aging, health, and society.
We expect the candidates should know Telugu and Hindi, as the

involves working closely with local communities in Hyderabad
Location :
Urban field sites (Hyderabad metropolitan region, Telangana state).
Transportation :
Candidates must be comfortable commuting within the Hyderabad metropolitan region, Telangana.

Responsibilities
Conduct direct fieldwork and meaningful engagements with senior citizens in urban neighborhoods, homes, and community spaces.
Observe, listen, and document daily experiences, challenges, and sources of well-being.
Participate in research training, reflection sessions, and collaborative team discussions.
Contribute to building robust qualitative and quantitative datasets to support research and advocacy on aging.

Exceptional Interns may be considered for extended roles or future opportunities with Satoru Foundation, depending on organizational needs.
