Job description

Job Summary :

We are seeking an experienced SAP MDG Consultant with a strong background in implementation, configuration, and enhancement of SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) solutions.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in delivering end-to-end SAP MDG projects, with expertise in data models such as Business Partner (BP), Customer, Vendor, and Material Master.

You will work closely with business stakeholders, functional teams, and technical developers to ensure high-quality master data management and governance processes.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead or support full lifecycle SAP MDG implementation projects, from requirements gathering to go-live and support.
  • Design and configure SAP MDG data models, UI, workflows, validations, and derivations.
  • Customize MDG for domains such as Business Partner, Customer, Vendor, Material, and Finance Master Data.
  • Collaborate with business users and process owners to define and improve data governance strategies and policies.
  • Perform system enhancements including :

a. Data model extensions

b. Custom workflows and BRF+ rules

c. UI enhancements using Floorplan Manager (FPM)

d. Validation and derivation rules

  • Integrate MDG with other SAP modules (like ECC, S / 4HANA) and external systems via ALE / IDoc, RFCs, or Web Services.
  • Ensure data quality by implementing governance controls, duplicate checks, and data validation mechanisms.
  • Work closely with ABAP developers for custom developments and enhancements.
  • Prepare functional specifications, test plans, training materials, and documentation.
  • Support UAT, go-live, and post-go-live stabilization activities.
  • Provide ongoing support and enhancements for live MDG environments.

    • Required Skills & Qualifications :

  • Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in SAP with at least 2+ years in SAP MDG.
  • Strong hands-on experience in SAP MDG configuration and enhancement.
  • Expertise in MDG Data Models (BP, Vendor, Customer, Material).
  • Knowledge of BRF+, FPM, and UI adaptations in MDG.
  • Experience with workflow configuration in MDG.
  • Familiarity with data replication techniques and integration with SAP and non-SAP systems.
  • Good understanding of master data concepts, governance models, and industry best practices.
  • Experience in SAP S / 4HANA MDG is highly desirable
