Job description

We are seeking a skilled Desktop Support Engineer 1 to join our IT team in India. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and troubleshooting for end-user computing devices, ensuring a seamless and efficient working environment for our staff.

Responsibilities

Provide technical support for desktop, laptop, and other end-user computing devices.
Troubleshoot hardware and software issues for users.
Install, configure, and maintain operating systems and software applications.
Respond to user inquiries and issues via helpdesk tickets, phone, and in-person support.
Assist in the setup and deployment of new workstations and peripherals.
Maintain inventory of IT assets and ensure security compliance.
Document support processes and maintain knowledge base articles.

Skills and Qualifications

1-4 years of experience in desktop support or a related field.

Proficiency in Windows operating systems (Windows 10 / 11) and Mac OS.

Familiarity with Active Directory and user account management.

Experience with hardware troubleshooting and repair of PCs and peripherals.

Knowledge of networking concepts (TCP / IP, DHCP, DNS) and basic network troubleshooting.

Ability to communicate effectively with end-users and provide excellent customer service.

Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified : Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, or equivalent are preferred.
