Description : Summary :

We are looking for an experienced Java Engineer with strong expertise in Spring Boot and hands-on experience working with real-time data processing using Kafka. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building high-performance, scalable, and resilient backend services that handle streaming data in real time.

Essential Skills :

5+ years of hands-on experience in Java backend development.
Strong proficiency in Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices architecture.
Solid experience with Apache Kafka for real-time / streaming data processing.
Understanding of Kafka topics, partitions, consumer groups, offsets, and event-driven design.
Experience working with relational and / or NoSQL databases.
Knowledge of CI / CD pipelines, version control (Git), and containerization (Docker).
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Great attention to detail

Should be able to dictate, manage, track progress of the team

Conduct code reviews

Ability to work with the project management team for essential project management

Experience in working in Agile projects - with familiarity with tools such Jira

Ready to work on technologies, platforms and frameworks as required on future projects

Strong work ethic and commitment to meet deadlines and support team members meet goals

Be flexible with working across time zones with overseas customers if required

Key Responsibilities :

Develop, enhance, and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot.

Design and implement real-time data processing pipelines using Apache Kafka.

Build and integrate microservices that consume, process, and publish streaming data.

Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Implement best practices for code quality, testing, and deployment.

Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to Kafka consumers / producers and backend services.

Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and architecture discussions.

Desirable Skills :

Experience with cloud platforms (AWS / GCP / Azure).

Exposure to Kafka Streams, ksqlDB, or other stream-processing tools.

Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, etc.).

Understanding of distributed systems and high-throughput 5+ Years
