Role Overview
The VP / Senior VP – BU Head (Gynecology Therapy) will be responsible for driving end-to-end P&L ownership, strategic direction, market expansion, and operational excellence for the Gynecology Business Unit. The role requires a seasoned leader with strong expertise in pharmaceuticals, business development, marketing, and nationwide sales operations. The candidate will work closely with the Vertical Head to align business plans with the organization’s long-term growth strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Business Management
- Develop the Business Plan in alignment with organizational vision and strategic goals in collaboration with the Vertical Head.
- Drive strategic roadmap creation, budgeting, forecasting, P&L management, and manpower planning.
- Lead strategy formulation across marketing, sales, promotions, and nationwide operations.
Business Development
Analyze market potential and design strategies to drive sales growth, increase turnover, and achieve targets.Monitor competitor activities and implement effective counter-strategies.Identify and pursue business opportunities through market mapping and surveys.Build and nurture strong relationships with Key Accountants, Key Doctors, and Opinion Leaders, ensuring consistent product support.Marketing & Product Management
Conceptualize and execute marketing activities, including camps, conferences, seminars, and product launches.Strengthen product visibility through structured advertising and promotion plans.Communicate the company’s market positioning to target audience groups effectively.Lead market launch initiatives, brand building, and product awareness campaigns to maximize share.Sales & Distribution Leadership
Lead and manage the nationwide Sales & Marketing teams.Launch new divisions / products and appoint CSA / Distributors / Stockists across regions.Ensure availability and proper distribution of stock from Head Office to CFA and downstream channels.Recruit, train, and develop sales teams;enhance performance through coaching and motivation.
Plan and track rupee-wise and unit-wise sales, ensuring monthly and periodic targets are met.Evaluate low-productivity territories and implement corrective strategies.Maintain and strengthen distributor and stockist network efficiency.Operational Excellence
Oversee timely and accurate expense reporting at individual and unit levels.Ensure adherence to company rules, policies, and ethical standards.Manage customer issues, ensuring quick and effective resolution.Supervise documentation and paperwork for team and distributors.Coordinate for inventory management, secondary sales tracking, and order follow-ups.Ensure on-ground implementation of strategies and market coverage plans.People Leadership
Lead, train, and motivate teams to ensure strong productivity and career development.Create a positive, performance-driven culture across the BU.Inspire teams to meet organizational goals with accountability and growth mindset.Qualifications & Experience
