Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled AI & Python Backend Developer to join our core engineering team. Your primary focus will be designing and developing server-side logic, APIs, and AI pipeline orchestration for serving voice-driven and AI-powered educational applications while ensuring high performance, scalability, and cost efficiency. Join us to build the backend that powers AI-driven tutoring experiences that will change how millions of Indian students learn.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient backend applications and RESTful services using Python and FastAPI.
• Develop and maintain backend services — design scalable APIs (REST / WebSocket), build fault-tolerant systems, and ensure clean, testable code.
• Implement and optimise Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems for AI-driven educational content delivery.
• Integrate and optimise Large Language Model (LLM) pipelines, including prompt engineering, response optimisation, and multi-model orchestration.
• Build and maintain real-time voice AI pipelines — Speech-to-Text and Text-to-Speech integrations for conversational AI experiences.
• Develop and manage data pipelines, orchestration workflows, and vector search systems for AI and ML models.
• Optimise data and storage — design schemas, tune queries (NoSQL / SQL), manage unstructured educational data, and apply caching and indexing for performance.
• Optimize system latency, throughput, and AI API cost efficiency at scale to enable affordable pricing for Indian students.
• Deliver reliable releases — ensure observability with metrics, logs, and traces, and ship backward-compatible features.
• Contribute to architecture — participate in design discussions, resolve scaling and latency bottlenecks, and drive improvements in performance and reliability.
• Champion best practices — enforce coding standards, write well-documented code, and stay current with backend and Generative AI technologies.
• Collaborate across teams — integrate AI models into production, define data contracts with frontend, and partner with the team for smooth deployments.
