We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Nurse / Assistant with hands-on experience treating small animals including dogs, cats, and birds.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role supporting veterinarians in daily procedures, patient care, and client communication. The Veterinary Nurse / Assistant will be responsible for assisting in examinations, administering medications, preparing animals for surgery, and maintaining a clean, safe clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities :

Assist veterinarians during consultations, surgeries, and treatments.
Handle animals gently and safely during examinations and procedures.
Administer medications, vaccines, and post-operative care as instructed.
Monitor recovery and report any changes in condition.
Communicate clearly with pet owners regarding animal care and follow-up.
Maintain medical records, cleanliness, and sterilization of clinical instruments.
Ensure the welfare and comfort of animals at all times.

Qualifications

Veterinary Medicine, Animal Surgery, and Diagnostic Skills

Experience in Animal Nutrition and Preventive Care

Ability to communicate effectively with pet owners and provide clear instructions

Strong organizational skills for maintaining detailed medical records

Commitment to humane treatment and welfare of animals

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent

Previous post-graduation experience in a clinical or hospital setting experience with small animals.

What’s on Offer :

Diploma or Certification in Veterinary Nursing / Veterinary Assistance or equivalent.

2–3 years of experience in a veterinary hospital or clinical environment.

Strong knowledge of animal handling, care, and hygiene standards.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Compassionate, patient, and committed to animal welfare.

Fluency in English; Arabic knowledge is an advantage.
