Job Title : Business Manager - Oil Additives

Business Line : Oil Additives

Entity : Evonik India, Thane

Reporting To : Business Director – Oil Additives

Purpose of the position :

Product promotion for Business line Oil Additives in the Indian subcontinent.

Mediation between the seller / production company and the customer in the area.

Acting as a communicator between the principal and the customer in the area.

Key Responsibilities :

The main task for this position is to achieve challenging targets of Oil Additives business in India, Sri Lanka & Bangladesh, in terms of maintaining & growing the existing business profitably.

To create quick and trustful relations with customers at different levels in the organization and acquisition of new customers.

To pick up new ideas and market needs and recommend smart solutions for the use of our products.

OEM management : Responsible for OEM and Industry Liaison activities. Identifying potential target Indian OEM's within the Automotive industry & the industrial segment & work with them for promoting Evonik Oil Additive technologies / initiatives including extensive field trials.

Channel Management : Responsible for deciding on the most effective sales channel for customers and segments in the region, selection, management and evaluation of agents and distributors.

The responsibilities also include close co-ordination & co-operation within the global organization supported by spirit of teamwork.

Work closely with departments of principals, e.g. key account management, technical service, product management, customer service, supply chain, marketing services and business development to support strategic goals of the business.

Run market research activities e.g. perform market analysis, competitor analysis, product placement analysis, local or regional price level analysis.

Responsible for pursuing strategic goals of the business.

Identify changes in business dynamics, marketplace opportunities, competitive threats, supply position etc.

Participation in fairs, conferences, customer events (e.g. suppliers’ day).

Support customer satisfaction survey upon request of Principal.

Responsible for collection of receivables.

Responsible for deciding & ensuring adequate & effective allocation / usage of sales & technical resources.

Education, Certification and / or relevant experience required

Degree in Engineering with minimum 5 years of relevant experience.

Basic knowledge of lubricants & its application is preferred.

Added advantage –

MBA in Sales / Operations.

Experience of handling Public sector customers.
